The MacGregor is a sailing, double-paddle canoe suitable for one or two passengers (depending on the size of the cockpit you build). I needed something to occupy me during the winter months when it was too cold to work out in the garage on the sailboat. So, naturally, I knocked out a wall in the basement (not a load bearing one, mind you) and started building. According to my geometric calculations I ought to be able to get something up to 16 feet long out of my basement without having to move the soil stack or something equally as drastic, so you can see I have plenty (4") of length to spare. Here are some photos with a minimum of commentary for now.
