Teaching Physical Science Through Space
(Secondary Education 748)

Ever wonder how NASA manages to launch a space shuttle or how a spacecraft traveling at almost 17,500 mph can find, rendezvous, and dock with the a space station?  This course focuses on using space exploration to teach about motion and forces. The space environment provides a unique laboratory for testing physical laws and theories. Participants will learn about topics including escape velocities, orbital mechanics, and Newton’s three laws.
