Graduate Application (Apply online at: https://apply.wisconsin.edu/). There is a $56 fee.
Three (3) Letters of Professional Reference (Submit reference contact information as part of online application)
Statement of Professional Goals (250 words) (Submit statement as part of online application)
Official Undergraduate Transcript(s) (Request offical transcripts be sent directly from undergraduate institutions to Office of Graduate Studies)
Photocopy of Teaching License (U.S. mail to Office of Graduate Studies at address below)

Admission Process

Your application will be reviewed in three steps:

(1) Pre-evaluation by the Office of Graduate Studies (to ensure you meet minimum admission requirements to UW Oshkosh)
(2) Review by the College of Education and Human Services C&I Department
(3) Final review by the Director of Graduate Services of the Office of Graduate Studies

The application process takes approximately 6-8 weeks.

Registration for Special/Non-Degree Seeking Students

Many teachers need to take just one course to keep their teaching license current. To register as a special/non-degree seeking student:

(1) Complete a graduate registration form (there is no application fee). Under 'Student Status', identify yourself as a "Special' student. Class numbers and catalog numbers can be obtained by clicking "Browse Schedule of Classes" in TitanWeb.

Example:

Waves and Fields for Teachers (Physical Science 501)
Class # = 20498
Subject/Catalog#/Section# = PHYS SCI 501 001D

(2) U.S. mail this form (keep a copy for your records) to the Office of Graduate Studies:

After your graduate registration form is processed, you will receive a letter from the Office of Graduate Studies with your campus student number and email account information. Use your username and password to sign-up for your classes. For additional information, contact the Office of Graduate Studies. Transferring Credits

You may transfer up to nine (9) graduate-level credits from another accredited institution. You may transfer an additional six (6) graduate-level credits if:

(1) you receive a special waiver from the Graduate Program Coordinator, or
(2) these credits were earned in professional development courses taught by Professor Lattery in the UW Oshkosh Department of Physics/Astronomy (Physics/Physical Science Track only).

Graduate School Tuition

For Summer 2009, graduate tuition is $340/credit ($306 tuition, $9 segregated fees, and $25 technology fee). One tuition rate is charged, in-state or out-of-state.
